Texas Property Search by Address FAQ
Your questions answered before you wire ParcelKit into production.
A property search returns the owner name, appraised value (land + improvement), estimated annual property tax, building details (year built, living area, building type), legal description, acreage, last sale date, appraisal history, FEMA flood zone designation, and nearby school assignments — all from the county's CAD record.
Harris, Montgomery, Fort Bend, and Waller counties are fully supported. These cover the Houston metro area including Houston, The Woodlands, Spring, Katy, Sugar Land, Conroe, and Hempstead. More counties are added on an ongoing basis.
Enter as much of the address as you know — street number and street name are usually enough. ParcelKit's geocoder resolves the full address and matches it to the correct county CAD record.
ParcelKit queries county CAD sources in real-time when you search, so results reflect the most current published appraisal record. CADs publish updates on a rolling basis; major reappraisal values are typically set as of January 1st each year.
Yes. The search works for residential, commercial, industrial, and vacant land parcels — any property with a CAD account number in a supported county.
